Widgit
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Widgit ("Platform", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our website, services, marketplace, widgets and integrations. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit Widgit, create or use an account, connect streaming or payment services, install or manage widgets, buy or sell digital widgets, upload media, contact us, or otherwise interact with the Platform.
Personal information means information that can identify you directly or indirectly, such as account identifiers, email addresses, usernames, channel IDs, payment-related identifiers, technical information, or content you choose to provide.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Platform, and information you authorize third-party services to share with us.
Depending on the connected service and enabled features, this information may include:
- Account information such as email address, display name, profile details, account type and login provider
- Usernames, account IDs, channel IDs and other account identifiers
- Stream-related metadata, subscriber or follower counts, live broadcast details and other data required for Platform functionality
- Chat messages, events, alerts and similar real-time interaction data
- Authentication tokens and connection information required to maintain authorized integrations
- Widget settings, marketplace listings, uploaded media, profile pages, reports, support messages and other content you choose to submit
- Order, subscription, invoice and payment-status information from supported payment providers
- Technical information such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referral URLs, timestamps, logs, and security events
We only access information necessary to provide the features and services requested by the user.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate Platform features and services
- Display chat messages, alerts, events and stream-related information
- Enable widgets, overlays, marketplace features and integrations
- Maintain account connections and security
- Process marketplace orders, subscriptions, seller onboarding, invoices and payment status updates
- Store user-selected widget settings, media assets and creator profile information
- Respond to support requests, reports, deletion requests and other communications
- Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, payment issues and policy violations
- Measure and improve Platform reliability, performance, features and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Google and YouTube API Services
Some Platform features use Google APIs and YouTube API Services. When a user connects their YouTube account, Widgit may access authorized YouTube and Google account data only as needed to provide creator-requested streaming widget and overlay functionality.
Depending on the features enabled by the user, this data may include Google account identifiers, email address, profile information, YouTube channel identifiers, channel statistics such as subscriber counts, active live broadcast information, live chat messages, Super Chats, Super Stickers, memberships, gifted memberships and related live stream event metadata.
Widgit uses this data only to provide the requested widgets, overlays, alerts, counters, event feeds, chat messages and stream interaction features. We do not upload, modify, delete, rate, comment on, or otherwise manage YouTube videos or channels.
We do not sell Google or YouTube user data, use it for advertising purposes, or share it except as necessary to provide requested services, protect the Platform, or comply with legal obligations.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable. Use of YouTube API Services is also governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies.
Users are also subject to the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
Users may disconnect YouTube from Widgit at any time from their Widgit account settings, revoke access through their Google account permissions, or delete their Widgit account directly from their account settings where available.
5. Other Third-Party Integrations
When you connect services such as Twitch, Kick, Ko-fi, Last.fm, Stripe, PayPal or other supported providers, we process the information needed to provide the connected feature. For example, we may receive streaming account identifiers, public profile information, stream events, music status, payment onboarding status, checkout status, order IDs, subscription IDs, invoice IDs or payout-related status information.
Your use of those third-party services remains governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Widgit does not control how those services collect, use, disclose or secure information outside the Platform.
6. Cookies, Sessions and Logs
Widgit uses essential cookies and similar browser storage where needed to keep you signed in, protect OAuth login flows, remember security state, route you back to the requested page, remember interface preferences, and operate essential Platform features.
We may also collect server logs and technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring and exit pages, timestamps, requested URLs, errors and security events. We use this information to operate, secure, debug and improve the Platform.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may prevent login, connected account flows, dashboard access or other features from working correctly.
7. Marketplace, Payments and Storage Providers
Marketplace purchases, subscriptions, seller onboarding and payment-related features may use payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. These providers may process payment details, identity information, tax information, payout details, fraud signals and other information under their own policies. Widgit receives limited payment-status information needed to complete orders, manage subscriptions, calculate fees, generate invoices and support disputes.
Uploaded widget media, profile images, marketplace assets and similar files may be stored with infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare R2 or other hosting and storage providers used to operate the Platform.
Widgit does not store full payment card numbers, CVC codes or complete payment credentials on Widgit servers. Payments are processed by payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. Widgit may store limited payment-related information, such as payment provider IDs, checkout/session IDs, order IDs, invoice IDs, subscription status, amounts, currency, receipt status and similar records needed for receipts, invoices, support, fraud prevention, accounting or legal compliance.
8. Public Information and Marketplace Content
Some information you choose to publish may be visible to other users or the public, including creator profiles, marketplace listings, widget names, widget descriptions, media previews, social links, reviews or other public-facing content.
If you include personal information in public content, that information may be viewed, copied, indexed or shared by others outside our control. Please avoid posting information you consider private in public areas of the Platform.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent user data, and we do not share Google or YouTube user data for advertising or marketing purposes.
We may share information only where necessary to operate the Platform, provide requested features, process payments, store files, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets.
When service providers process information for us, we expect them to use it only to provide services to Widgit and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
10. Data Retention
Chat messages, events and similar real-time data may be temporarily processed and stored to provide Platform functionality and generate Platform statistics. Such data is automatically deleted after 30 days unless a shorter retention period applies or retention is required by law.
Authentication tokens and account connection data are stored while an integration remains connected and are deleted or invalidated within a reasonable period after the connection is revoked.
When you delete your Widgit account, Widgit deletes the account data and associated Platform data stored by Widgit, including connected account tokens, widget settings, installed widgets, folders, media assets, and other account-linked Platform records.
When YouTube access is disconnected or revoked, stored Google OAuth tokens and YouTube connection data are deleted or invalidated within a reasonable period.
Third-party services such as Google, YouTube, Stripe, PayPal, Twitch, Kick, Ko-fi or Last.fm may retain information under their own terms and privacy policies after you disconnect them from Widgit or delete your Widgit account.
11. Account Deletion and Revocation
You can delete your Widgit account directly from your account settings where available. Account deletion removes your Widgit account and associated Platform data stored by Widgit.
You may also disconnect supported integrations in Widgit where available, and you may revoke Google or YouTube access through your Google account permissions.
If an account deletion control is temporarily unavailable or you need help, you can contact widgithub@gmail.com.
12. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical, organizational and administrative measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for protecting the devices, browsers and networks you use to access the Platform.
Our Services rely on third-party platforms such as Google, YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Ko-fi and other providers. The security of information processed by those services is governed by their respective privacy and security policies.
13. International Data Transfers
Widgit and the providers that help operate the Platform may process information in countries other than the country where you live. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your local laws.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and require service providers to protect information consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Your Rights and Choices
You may:
- Disconnect integrations at any time
- Revoke Google account access through your Google Account settings
- Delete your Widgit account and associated Widgit-stored Platform data directly from your account settings where available
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where required by applicable law
- Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law gives you that right
- Opt out of non-essential communications where such communications are offered
- Contact us regarding privacy-related concerns
These rights may depend on your location and may be subject to identity verification and requirements that apply to third-party services outside Widgit.
15. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under the minimum age required to provide digital consent in their jurisdiction. If you believe we may have collected information from a child in violation of applicable laws, please contact us at widgithub@gmail.com
16. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, dashboards, payment pages, streaming services, social platforms, documentation or embedded media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party services.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party service you choose to use or connect to Widgit.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
